Getting Oil Selection Right the First Time
Choosing the wrong engine oil costs more than most people realize. Too thin, and you get accelerated wear and oil consumption. Too thick, and you lose fuel efficiency, strain the starter, and risk poor circulation at cold start. The correct grade depends on three factors: your engine type, your operating conditions, and the manufacturer’s specification.
This guide breaks down the ECO MATIC product range so you can match the right oil to your specific vehicle and use case — whether you’re running a fleet of delivery scooters in Yangon, a construction site in Ho Chi Minh City, or a motorcycle workshop in Bangkok.

For Scooters and Small Motorcycles (100–150cc)
Recommended: ECO MATIC 10W-30 SN/4T
Light viscosity for quick cold-start protection. Ideal for small-displacement 4-strokes that spend most of their time in urban traffic. Fully synthetic, API SN rated.
For Sport and Mid-Range Motorcycles (150–400cc)
Recommended: ECO MATIC 10W-40 SN/4T
The sweet spot for performance bikes. Handles higher RPM, greater heat output, and more aggressive riding styles. Available in 1L and 50L drums for workshops.
For Daily Commuter Motorcycles in Hot Climates
Recommended: ECO MATIC 20W-40 SL/4T or SN/4T
The go-to grade for standard 100–200cc commuter bikes operating in sustained high temperatures. Choose SL/4T for value, SN/4T for premium protection.
For Cruisers and Air-Cooled Heavyweights
Recommended: ECO MATIC 15W-50 SN/4T BULLET
Thicker film for hotter-running air-cooled engines. Purpose-built for air-cooled cruiser-class and high-capacity motorcycles.
For High-Mileage and Heavy-Load Motorcycles
Recommended: ECO MATIC 20W-50 SN/4T
Maximum film thickness for engines with wider clearances, delivery bikes carrying heavy loads, and two-up touring in extreme heat.
For Trucks, Buses, and Heavy Diesel Equipment
Recommended: ECO MATIC 15W-40 CI-4+
Commercial-grade diesel oil for long-haul trucks, buses, generators, excavators, and all heavy-duty diesel engines requiring API CI-4+ performance.
For Modern Passenger Cars (Gasoline and Light Diesel)
Recommended: ECO MATIC 5W-30 SP/CF
Latest API SP specification for turbocharged, direct-injection engines. Prevents LSPI, protects timing chains, and maintains turbo health. Dual SP/CF rating covers both gasoline and light diesel applications.
For Manual Transmissions and Gearboxes
Recommended: ECO MATIC Gear Oil EP-90 GL-4
Extreme-pressure gear oil for manual gearboxes, transfer cases, and non-hypoid differentials. Protects synchronizers and yellow metals while preventing scoring under heavy loads.
